Einstein’s Mental Snapshots Rule
Einstein and mental snapshots
The name A. Einstein is a universal metaphor for genius and intelligence. Even those of us who are math and physics challenged may be aware of terms like E=MC2, General and Special Relativity, and his 1921 Nobel Prize in physics for the photoelectric effect.
His work of 1905 is still considered miraculous by specialists in superstring theory; and there are scientists who believe that their unified field theory is correct. He did not work on the atomic bomb, but he alerted President Roosevelt that the Nazis were committed to making this bomb to win World War II.
Al cashed in his chips in 1955 at age 76 and donated his brain to researchers at
Princeton University. After many years of research it was concluded that nothing
in Einstein’s brain explained his scientific genius.
lost and found
For the next twenty years, Einstein’s brain was lost in space. Steven Levy cared;
a New Jersey Monthly reporter around 1975, set out to pursue him.
It turned out to be in the possession of Dr. Thomas Harvey, the pathologist who
performed the autopsy at Princeton. He had taken the brain with him to his laboratory in Wichita, Kansas. Tissue samples were sent to interested scientists and the rest
returned to Princeton, NJ because of Levy.
One of Einstein’s brain tissue samples was sent to McMaster University, Ontario, Canada, for Dr. Sandra F. Witelson and her team. In 1999, he submitted the results of his examination to the Lancet (British medical journal) for publication.
Einstein’s brain revealed a 15% greater width compared to other normal cerebral cortices. Specifically, Area 39 of Brodmann, is the place of mathematical thinking, and of the ability to analyze in terms of space and movement; it was significantly larger in Einstein’s brain.
Not words, but clear images of a visual kind: it was a specialty of Einstein’s brain,
according to Dr. Witelson. This Area 39 is located in the parietal lobe and is part of the Cortical Association of our brain; activates Mental Visualizations and potential creativity.
Glial cells
Gray matter is made up of our brain cells, 100 billion neurons and, in particular, their axons and dendrites. The white matter is the complementary cells of the glia (glue), that
they are ten to fifty times more than neurons. However, our glial cells have no respect.
Until about ten years ago, Glials were considered housewives, who limited themselves to cleaning
broken and dead neurons.
Today, astrocytes, (star-shaped), a type of glial cell, are given credit for providing
insulation of neurons (myelin) located in our Central and Peripheral Nervous System, and to have projections to anchor our neurons to their blood supply.
Glial cells provide nutrition and support in synaptic signal transmissions (link).
These activities are of prime consideration for life. Glial cells are also involved in neurotransmitter release and synaptic plasticity (change) and synaptogenesis (growth) of neurons. Our glials are deadly and life-enhancing things.
Profound Statement: Our memories seem to be stored in the synapses of
our neurons. See: Hebb research. Synapse is the connectivity (joining) of neurons, from the Greek, which means to join. You might want to remember this Synaptic
Plasticity is the most important of our neurochemical foundations of learning and
memory
Final words 1
Al Einstein said: Imagination is more important than knowledge. One fades into obscurity in five years, the other connects with the cosmos. He also said: Not everything that counts can be counted. And not all that can be counted,
counts I knew more than E=MC2.
mental images
Interested in Einstein’s secrets of mental visualization?
You decide if it applies to ordinary mortals without a 15% wider brain for glials.
Look-Link-Snap
1. Close your eyes. Access 8-13 Hz alpha brain wave cycles
and creates alert relaxation.
2. See: Put a mental image on the movie screen of your mind: Example: See, visualize and create a man with a coffee cup balanced on his head, with grass-green hair, standing on a flagstone of ice When you decide to take the Gaze step, you are focusing your Attention through Intention.
3. Link: is connecting what you see with what you want
remember. Our goal is to remember the name of this one
man we met at a business conference.
He introduced himself as Joe Greenberg. Truckers call a cup of coffee a cup of Joe, and mentally seeing it on the top of their head is so weird that you’ll never forget that their first name is Joe.
His hair looks like a strip of grass in a deep green lawn. you
you can hardly forget this hair color; represents its first half
last name, Green. He is standing on a slab of ice remembering
us of an iceberg, and establishes a link with the last half of his
name, Green – Berg.
4. Snap: It is creating a long-term mental memory in our
hippocampus that we can recover, and a physiological anchor
in our body we can anchor this strange memory a.
All it takes to create the snapshot is an intentional blink
your eyes as if they were the lens of a camera three times
quickly The secret is three blinks with the lens of your eyes.
You capture the unique image of Joe Greenberg,
with coffee cup on head, green hair and standing
over a barrel of ice one-two-three times. You break it once, and
open your eyes for a second; close and fit a second time;
open your eyes a third time and take this strange picture
again for just a second. Now you have it in less than a minute.
Final words 2
This Look-Link-Snap system works to remember names and faces.
Find a shape that helps you access their face, height, or posture.
Turn a book into a memorable mental visualization, based on its key
ideas Attend a lecture and remember the main ideas using
your eyes to create a mental snapshot of the ideas discussed.
Did you know that the average college graduate forgets 92% of what they have?
read, seen or heard in fifteen minutes, when it is left in random memory?
Now you have a tool that’s baby-friendly, always works, and develops yours
learning and memory skills. Note that there are scientists who offer
evidence that training your imagination creates a firewall to prevent
Alzheimer’s disease. Yeah sure. What’s the secret again? Look-Link-Snap.
See you,
