Mu Alpha Theta Honor Cord Policy

Honor cords are awarded to graduating students. There are many sections of this award, Mu Alpha Theta is one of them. The most popular colors for honor cords are lavender and gold. But the Alpha Theta honor cord can be of different colors in terms of collegiate taste. It can be red, hunter green, light blue, bronze, orange, silver, maroon, white, purple, navy blue, coffee white, royal blue, etc. The cord size is the same as other honor cords. This cord is also about sixty inches long. It consists of two separate cords tied together, but there is a knot in the middle of the cord. There is a tassel at the end of the cord. Each cord without tassel is almost thirty inches long. The tassel is about four inches long.

The rule of membership for Mu Alpha Theta is as follows:

o The student must be previously or currently enrolled in precalculus or AP calculus.

o Must maintain a GPA of at least above 3.00 in all math subjects taken at LCN.

o Must attend all scheduled Theta meetings.

o He must attend the whole “pi week” for the whole period of this course.
