Find The Career Of Your Destiny!
Concern yourself with what your talents are, your life’s purpose, and how you can integrate all of this into your career and your existence.
A career is optional for some, but vital for many others. We just can’t live without them – there are bills to pay and a life to live!
Of course, you may be looking for a new opportunity or extra money. That’s when you look for the right job.
Then you need to determine what type of employee you are and what would be the best job for you. Sometimes self-examination can be difficult, even painful, but with an honest look at yourself and your motivations you can begin to recognize the optimal career path for you. You will always have options, and now you can see them in detail.
To get started… Grab a pen and paper and write a few things down. Start simply!
First, a question-
Who are you, really?
Think about yourself and all that you can be. If you lived to your fullest potential, what would it look like?
The first piece of honesty – and painful realization – is this: not everyone can be an astronaut or the president of the United States. It hurts, but it’s true! It’s fun to believe that we have the potential to achieve anything. However, we have to be realistic here.
From a young age, children are told that they can be anything they want. In fact, this is not the reality. We can only be what our capacity allows us to be. Some of us have the ability to interpret higher mathematics, while others have sensitivity to the psychic world. Not everyone can be an expert in everything.
We must be aware that desire is only one part of the complex calculation of our lives. There is a scheme for us, something that is governed by destiny. Potential can be seen as an even bigger part of our success.
Once we realize it, it can lead us to total freedom. There’s less pressure to be something we’re not, just because we want it to be. We need to worry about what our talents are, what our purpose for our lives is, and how we can integrate all of this into our careers and our lives.
This is where we come to the next step: finding your dream and a way to cash in on it!
Think about your qualities…
- Are you an introvert or an extrovert?
- What do you do more: analyze or feel?
- Do you want to think about new projects, or do you prefer to complete tasks first?
- Are you intuitive or do you go by logic and reason?
- An honest answer to these questions will have a big influence on a path that is a perfect fit.
If you are an introvert, then working in a busy, lively and crowded environment will not be a good fit. An extrovert will find working in an isolated office uncomfortable. If you’re a dreamer, being assigned tasks may not be productive.
Therefore, finding the right profession has a lot to do with your character as well as your talents.
Think about and write down some of the things you really want to do, what you like to do, or what you could achieve with support and training.
- Are you passionate?
- What are you interested in?
- what is your love
- Does something make you angry?
- Are you attracted or repelled by something?
Give serious and honest consideration to your mental and physical strengths and limitations. Consider your social and emotional capabilities and limitations. What would you like to do with the person you are sure you are?
Now… get inspired! Take all the things you just put on a piece of paper and put them. Your designs, your passions, your talents and qualities… Just write! No criticism!
Don’t worry, you can always come back later and refine your writing. You can filter out some of the things that don’t work. But for now, leave it all. Have a friend help you!
The next step…Dream!
Look at yourself five, ten or even fifteen years from now. What do you do, where are you and what have you become? When you think about it, don’t stop and stay grounded. Be realistic. If you’re not good at math, for example, don’t see yourself as an astrophysicist.
Let it come to you, the best for you!
Take your time and look at what you have written, your dreams and your future. what do you see Is there a clear path to your future? When you examine them, do you experience peace or pleasure? If you’re still stuck, relax! Put some faith in yourself, you will find your way to success.
Now… Set Goals!
After spending time in self-reflection, it’s time to set some goals. Sort out your priorities, even if you’re not sure yet.
If you still have questions, get material that will focus on your final career. There are several books that give you advice. Read them for inspiration.
When you have a career in mind, congratulations! You have made one of the most critical decisions of your life; now do it like this! It’s time to set definite goals and a way to achieve them. Need more training? Do you need to rework your resume and post it for potential employers? What steps do you want to take?
Take these milestones (five years, ten years from now) and use them to create your goals. Write them one step at a time, one day at a time. What do you need to do in a month, six months or a year to get there? Yes, these are your goals depending on the course you choose.
You have a destiny! With a little effort on your part, you can identify the path that fits your circumstances.
